Makers In Education

Makerspace Intensive Course for Teachers

We invite applications from in-sevice teachers to join at the UC Makerspace for a two-week Makerspace intensive followed by an optional 6 weeks of free Makerspace membership. Through hands-on maker-centered learning we willl foster the maker mindset in in-service teachers as a force-multiplier in STEM/STEAM education.

The Makerspace Intensive will harness teachers existing experiences and develop new skills while designing and making a project of personal significance. Participating teachers will leave with enhandced confidence, skills, resources, and ideas to nurture the maker culture in the classroom!

The purpose of this intensive and free Makerspace membership is to build a self-propelled community of practice for Makers in STEAM education across the region.
