Soft surfaces such as clothing, everyday mail, and paper money are not easily disinfected by applying WET disinfectants. To effectively control COVID-19 spread and any other types of viruses, a DRY method of disinfection is to be developed that can be effectively and frequently applied on these everyday items.


Cell-free DNA fragmentation patterns for disease early detection.

Routine screening in both healthy and high-risk populations provides the opportunity to detect cancer early and reduce morbidity and mortality in cancer. Unified, powerful, non-invasive, and cost-effective biomarkers, however, are still not available yet. Here, we propose to integrate machine learning and the cost-effective non-invasive approach for high specificity and sensitivity to detect cancer in very early stage.

Advances in mobile phone and wearable technology have created unprecedented opportunities to analyze human behavior in real-world settings and with a level of granularity that cannot be accomplished using traditional laboratory or clinic-based research. This project leverages this technology as a tool for physicians and health care industry partners to collect individualized clinical data that can be used to evaluate and shape treatment and interventions.


A novel target in inflammatory kidney diseases

This group has identified a novel target in the inflammatory kidney diseases. They are now developing two approaches to target this protein in a mouse model of nephritis.

A multifaceted technology application company dedicated to Detect, Protect and Serve the world by solving environmental tragedies with innovative technologies.

Our first and primary product is ESTFireSafe, an information system of sensors and monitors in addition to drone compatibility that fights forest fires with our technology while greatly reducing the risk of loss of life, land, and infrastructure destruction.

Software platform to help individuals implement consistent behavioral changes, resulting in significant positive health outcomes. It offers easy to access and utilize tools to help hold people accountable in real-time to behavior modification based action plans, as well as the option to aggregate personal lifestyle metrics. The platform could be made shareable with personal health care providers, increasing the patient-provider relationship and communication leading to improved efficiency and efficacy of visits.


A Novel Self Starting High Efficiency Vertical Axis Wind Turbine

A novel self-starting high efficiency vertical axis wind turbine has been developed, suitable for urban and rural areas. The turbine has multiple airfoil blades, such that each pair of blades form a convergent nozzle. The convergent nozzles generate thrust forces that self start the turbine at all wind speeds. In addition to the torque generated by the lift force of the airfoil blades, additional torque is generated by the nozzles thrust force that enhances the turbine efficiency.
